The Metropolit Police Department announced the continuous search for a group of hackers present in the telecommunications industry such as online booking applications, mobile phone call systems, and internet service providers.
On 03 December 2023, the Indian government carried out Operation Kedelapan to arrest and prosecute hackers. After conducting a thorough investigation, the police force discovered a group of hackers within the telecommunications sector.
In this investigation, the hacking group has successfully infiltrated numerous websites within the telecommunications industry, including True Move H, DT Acquisition, AIS, and SCB Telecom. They have also exploited vulnerabilities that are difficult for telecommunications companies to identify, such as the obstacles imposed by these companies to update software that has been designed to identify intruding hackers.
While the hacking group has successfully infiltrated various websites within the telecommunications industry, the Indian government still hopes to keep track of advancements in cyber technology on a regular basis. Additionally, telecommunications companies need to collaborate with the police force to enhance the security system of cyber attacks in telecommunications.
