80G Donation Eligibility – Bal Raksha Bharat

Donating to NGOs is an act of compassion that not only allows you to extend a helping hand to those in need but also offers the added benefit of tax savings. This opportunity is made possible through Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, introduced by the Government of India to promote increased participation in humanitarian causes.

Under the provisions of the Act, donations made to NGOs that meet the eligibility criteria for 80G donations qualify for a 50% tax-exemption on the amount donated. This means that if you donate ₹10,000, you can avail a deduction of ₹5,000 from your taxable income when filing your income tax return. Bal Raksha Bharat (also known as Save the Children) is an NGO included in the 80G donation eligibility list, making it an excellent choice if you intend to contribute towards the welfare and development of children. Bal Raksha Bharat actively contributes to various sectors such as children’s education, health & nutrition, protection, resilience building, and emergency relief services.
